ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Neile Cooper

Cooper has been exploring the use of glass as means of illustration and illumination of her natural surroundings since 1999. She was educated in design at The Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York City, where she was briefly introduced to stained glass. That moment sparked a lifelong passion for the medium. Cooper is the author of Kicking Glass: A Creative Guide to Stained Glass (Herbert Press/Bloomsbury, 2022). Her work can be found in private collections throughout the US, notably a large installation at the Maker’s Mark Distillery in Kentucky. She is perhaps best known for The Glass Cabin in the Woods, a small structure on the artist’s property that is entirely clad with her work.
