Intro to Mixed Media Lithography

Details Fee Breakdown:
Tuition: $770
Material Fee: $110

Over the course of five days, this workshop will explore the basic principles of lithography printmaking using polyester “pronto” plates (known for their speed and versatility.) We will combine a variety of image making techniques such as hand drawn, photographic and vector layers. We will learn how to digitally edit source imagery so it can be transferred to the plate using a laser printer. We will also explore the fundamentals of registration and troubleshooting, as well as how to incorporate monotype and chine collé into our small editions. Participants should be prepared to use photographs as a component of a larger hand-drawn image, enjoy mixing colors and will make prints that are no larger than 10”x14”.

Workshops run from 9:00am to 5:00pm each day
