This workshop will focus on marketing and professionalism through a personalized approach to improving your promotional materials. These promotional materials include creating a marketing plan, featuring how to write an artist statement. When trying to exhibit and sell your work, a well written statement can become the core of all your promotional materials. Emphasis will be placed on how galleries, museums and clients will judge your presentation. There will be a lecture and discussion with a ton of content. Participants should be prepared to share samples of their artwork and any promotional materials they are presently using. Open to all levels of artists in any medium.
This class will be conducted live on Zoom. Participants will receive an email from Peters Valley at least 48 hours prior that includes a link and a password. Only registered participants will be admitted.

1. Remember that any audio/video communication may involve two-way camera and audio usage. This means that the instructor will need to see participants’ work and speak with them about it and may also be able to see and hear what is occurring in their home.
2. Do not make audio or video recordings of lessons. Without the permission of the instructor, Peters Valley School of Craft and other lesson participants, this may be illegal.
3. Do not provide access to the lesson to anyone other than the registered participant.
4. Maintain the confidentiality of other students if you are participating in a group lesson. All individuals participating may be able to see and hear what is occurring in your home.
