In this 3-day immersive workshop, we will be working with the creative cyanotype process. Working between contact printing from nature and creating digital inkjet negatives, we will explore the way paper types, exposure times, and materials affect the final photographic image. We will also look at early historical examples of this photographic process and how the medium is used in contemporary work. There will be short field-trips to nearby locations just outside the recreation area to gather materials for recreating early botanical studies through this process.
