Clone It! Make a Pattern from your Favorite Clothes

$555.00

Details Fee Breakdown:
Tuition: $515
Material Fee: $40

Who doesn’t have a beloved T-shirt, skirt or dress they’ve worn to shreds and wish they had 10 more of? Most of our favorite clothes are actually super simple and easily replicated. You’ll learn how to “rub off” a pattern from an existing garment (and contrary to popular belief, you WON’T have to take it apart). Then we’ll stitch up a quick muslin (fit sample) to test the pattern and tweak it if necessary. You’ll always have a fresh crop of handmade garments that feel like old friends! Please bring at least 2-3 options for your project(s): simple T-shirts, blouses, skirts, or dresses (no fitted pants!) with minimal or no gathers or pleats work best. You will have time to complete between 1 and 3 projects depending on their complexity. Participants must have at least basic machine sewing experience and have a few simple projects under their belt.

Workshops run from 9:00am to 5:00pm each day
Lunch is included for all participants
