Our Campus
We honor and acknowledge that Peters Valley exists on the lands of the Munsee Lenni Lenape people, whose ancestors were the first craftspeople and makers on this land that today is stewarded by the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
Our facilities, nestled amid the fields, forests and streams of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, were once the charming and leafy farm village of Bevans.
Through adaptive reuse, these historic buildings now serve as a gathering place for a thriving community of artists and environmentalists, thinkers and changers of the world. The link between the natural and man-made splendor of our environment exemplifies of our commitment to being stewards of the Park. A setting that we hope you will enjoy!
The campus consists of two areas. The dorms, dining hall, office, gallery, blacksmithing, ceramics, printmaking, and photography studios are all within walking distance in "Valley Central" . The fibers, fine metals, and special topics (glass & mixed media) studios are located at "Thunder Mountain", approximately 2 miles from Valley Central. Carpooling to Thunder Mountain is encouraged, especially at meal times.
