Lenore G. Tawney Foundation Fiber Tuition Scholarship

Lenore G. Tawney Foundation Fiber Tuition Scholarship

One full scholarship including tuition, materials, lodging and meals for a fiber workshop

Apply Now

Peters Valley will offer a Lenore G. Tawney Foundation Fiber Scholarship to one student to pursue a fiber workshop during the summer season. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to be considered. This scholarship will generously cover all of the costs including tuition, materials fee, lodging, meals and the registration fee for a fiber workshop of their choice. Peters Valley offers this opportunity to one adult per year so that they may learn new skills or enhance existing ones in the field of fibers.

Scholarship recipients will be chosen by a panel of Peters Valley staff. The panel will review the applications and select those that reflect the strongest need and desire to further develop their skills and understanding of fiber media. The panel will take into consideration the applicant's experience and the contents of the letter of intent. It is our hope that by taking a workshop at Peters Valley, the recipients will be inspired to develop their personal work and develop a life-long passion for craft.
