Stephanie Lanter has been an artist and educator working in clay, mixed media and words for 25 years. She is currently an Associate Professor of Ceramics at the Hartford Art School in Connecticut, after teaching for 15 years in Kansas, at Emporia State, Washburn, and Wichita State Universities. She has had residencies at the Red Lodge Clay Center, the Archie Bray Foundation, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, the LH Project, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, and the Mendocino Arts Center, and Jentel. Along with exhibiting and demonstrating her award-winning sculptural work across the nation, she has given numerous workshops and presentations, including for NCECA, Arrowmont, ArtAxis, Wesleyan Potters, and the Appalachian Center for Craft. She received an MFA in Ceramics from Ohio University and a BA from Xavier University.
