Kristin LeVier is a studio artist in Moscow, Idaho who creates contemporary wood and metal sculpture at the intersection of art and science. She carves and bends wood into tentacles, leaves and wings that embody an ethereal sense of motion. Her work has been exhibited widely and featured in books and magazines including American Craft. Kristin has taught powercarving workshops and demonstrations across the US and abroad. She’s received awards from The Center for Art in Wood, NICHE, Society for Contemporary Craft and The Idaho Commission on the Arts, and given a TEDx talk on the art of science.
