Kimberly Winkle is a Professor of Art and Director of the School of Art, Craft & Design at Tennessee Tech Univ. She earned a M.F.A. in Furniture Design from San Diego State University. Winkle has completed residencies at Haystack, Vermont Studio Center, the Center for Art in Wood and Appalachian Center for Craft. She’s taught workshops at Penland School of Crafts, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Anderson Ranch Art Center, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, John C. Campbell Folk School, and the Appalachian Center for Craft. Her work is exhibited nationally and internationally and has been included in a number of publications and she’s the 2014 John D. Mineck Furniture Fellow through the Society of Arts and Crafts in Boston.
