Jay Kreimer

Jay Kreimer is a sound artist, sculptor, and musical instrument inventor. He has toured widely with his invented instruments, performing across Europe, North America, and in Beijing. In spring 2019 he toured Mexico, performing with Albert/Day/Kreimer. In 2011 he was a finalist in the international Guthman musical instrument invention competition at Georgia Tech. He is certified to teach Deep Listening and had a long association with the founder, Pauline Oliveros. Jay has led musical instrument invention workshops in Cork Ireland, Chicago, Crestone Colorado, San Francisco, and this year at the Museum of Antique Toys in Mexico City. In 2013-2014 he was a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar, creating a video document about the brass and drum street wedding bands in Gujarat and Rajasthan, India.
