Emily was born and raised in the village of East Calais in Vermont. She graduated in 2013 with a BFA in Metalsmithing + Jewelry from Maine College of Art. After some traveling she moved to Penland School of Crafts for the two year Core Fellowship. Now a resident of Asheville, North Carolina she spends her time enjoying the mountains and maintaining an inquisitive studio practice while working as a professional jeweler. Emily’s repetitious habit of sketching structures and patterns has informed her latest body of work, using wire and line to create planes and define space.
