Elizabeth Brim received an MFA in Printmaking and then went on to study ceramics at Penland School of Craft, which she then taught at Columbus State University. She kept studying at Penland in the fields of Jewelry Metalworking and Blacksmithing, finally deciding to become a full time craftsperson and moving to Penland NC. She has taught Blacksmithing at Penland, Haystack, Peters Valley and demonstrated widely. Her work is in the collection of the Metal Museum in Memphis, Tennessee, The Mint Museum in Charlotte North Carolina and the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, North Carolina.
