Douglas Finkel has been a woodworking artist and teacher for over thirty years. His work can be found in numerous collections including the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Georgia Museum of Art, and the Center for Art in Wood. Doug ran the middle school woodworking program at St. Paul’s School in MD, and served as adjunct faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University. He has been a resident artist with the Windgate International Turning Exchange, organized by the Center for Art in Wood. His woodworking includes furniture, turning, carving, traditional green woodworking, and wooden flutes.
