Virtual Demonstration with Natalie Stopka
Charcoal is an age-old source of fine black pigment with good hiding powder, made from carbonized wood. The charcoal burner is a character found in folklore from around the world, a nomad of the forests who lives outside of society and even time itself. We, too, can become charcoal burners to transmute common roadside grapevines into elegant vine black drawing sticks. Join Natalie Stopka for a live online demonstration of the process and Q+A.
