Turning Pen & Pencil Sets

Even if you have never made a pen before, Barry will make you feel at home in this course! A quick overview of what tools are necessary to make pens will be discussed and then the instructor will demonstrate how to make a pen from beginning to end. You will learn how to drill a pen blank on a lathe, glue the pen tube in the blank, square the end of the blank, turn it on the lathe, finish it and then assemble your masterpiece into a pen or pencil! Turning tool techniques and which turning tools are the best for each participant will be discussed and demonstrated. Everyone will make at least 2 pens and 2 pencils while having FUN! Beginner and Beyond
