You have looked at pop-up books. You are stymied by the question: “How do I adapt these whimsical, dynamic structures to make MY OWN pop-ups?” This workshop answers that question by introducing three foundational paper engineered structures and demonstrating the steps to innovation. To add to the fun, you will employ an innovative roll-up binding approach (think scroll rather than codex) for the pop-up folios. In the end you will have a tidy, bound collection of 12 study models that will propel you to the next step of pop-up invention. All are welcome! A materials kit will be mailed to participants prior to the workshop.
This class will be conducted live on Zoom.
