October 3, 2022 at 9:00 am - October 7, 2022 at 5:00 pm

Instructor: Po Wen Liu

From a small teapot to a large storage jar, making a nicely fit lid is always a challenging process for potters. This unique hands-on workshop will teach you how to create different types of lids and flanges on the potter’s wheel. Participants will learn how to create various types of lids based on the function of the vessel. Wheel throwing techniques, surface decoration and basic electric kiln and gas reduction firing processes will be discussed. One bisque firing will be provided in this workshop, but no glaze firing.

This workshops runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm each day
