Homemade Watercolor Demonstration

November 15, 2022 at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Tuesday, November 15, 7:00pm-8:00pm

Watercolor paints are a surprisingly simple, non-toxic set of artist’s colors to make at home. Utilizing natural pigments and binders with historically-inspired tools, Natalie Stopka will demonstrate how to create your own paints for pans or tubes. While mulling her paint, Natalie will also mull over the ways in which evolving  paint technologies shaped the craft through history.  We’ll start with a homemade watercolor medium, discuss pigment sources, and finish with Q+A.

This demonstration will be conducted live on Zoom. Participants will receive an email from Peters Valley at least 48 hours prior that includes a link and a password. Only registered participants will be admitted.
