October 3, 2022 at 9:00 am - October 7, 2022 at 5:00 pm

Instructor: Lisa G. Westheimer

October 3-7

Expand your clay practice with glass using an electric kiln. Participants will learn how to cut, assemble and fire glass based on its technical properties, how to load the kiln, what materials/tools are needed, firing schedules, types of firing for certain results and cold working to make jewelry or incorporate fused glass into fired clay objects. Fusing, slumping, tack and fire polishing techniques will be covered. Making work to take home will be a byproduct of the workshop, not the primary focus. Beginner and Beyond
