Suzanne K. Werfelman (Art in Nature 6-11) is a practicing fiber artist concentrating on color, demonstrated by her hand painted silk scarves and painter specializing in life like portraits of people and animals. Suzanne has been teaching and facilitating the creative process in public schools for 33 years. Besides teaching K through 12 art classes, she also teaches a course entitled "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" to adult students.
Liz Pemberton (Art in Nature 12-16) is a Quilt/Fiber Artist and Fabric Collage Muralist, presently working as an Artist-in-Residence for public schools in Monroe County, PA. Her large Murals, created with the school students have been highly publicized. Her skills also include beautiful beadwork, jewelry making, and macramé. One of her Quilts was chosen as part of an exhibition titled “Textural Rhythms: Quilting the Jazz Tradition” which is touring the country.
Angela Klaerner (Ceramics) began working with clay some 30 years ago as an apprentice. She went on to study in Heiligendamm where she graduated with a MFA in 1982. She has been working as a practicing ceramic artist ever since. She relocated to the US in 2004 and has been residing at Peters Valley ever since, where she maintains a studio and has taught for Sussex County Community College. She is skilled both in hand-building and throwing techniques.
Janell Wysock (Fibers) is a past assistant at Peters Valley, where she continues to show her work in the Store and Gallery. She graduated from Moore College of Art in Philadelphia in 2004. She teaches the young artist workshop at Moore as well as at the Cecilian Center. She is equally adept at weaving, felting, paper-making, and surface dying and will be sharing all these techniques with the participants. |
